What is the desired Shore rating?
Shore A : the scale measuring the hardness of a foam. This scale is directly linked to comfort.
Comfort/correction elements are divided into three categories:
- Shore ≤ 40
Materials with a shore rating of less than 40 are fairly soft materials. They offer a good level of comfort.
- 41 ≤ shore ≤ 60
Materials with this shore rating are considered intermediate. They can generally be used for comfort elements and correction elements. The material should therefore be chosen based on its density and its technical characteristics.
- Shore > 60
Materials with a shore rating over 60 are more rigid. They are generally used for posture elements or correction elements.
